- Hi. I was born, raised, and educated in Pennsylvania. Painting has become a real passion of mine, and I try to produce a new work at least once a day. All work is for sale, unless noted. Just let me know if you are interested. Rather than realistic copies of scenes, I prefer a more personal, abstract-type vision where the viewer gets to complete the picture in their own mind. Please return often and see if I am successful in my endeavor.

Another out of print gem. Printed in 1974, this is a wonderful teaching manual. I consider this and Frank Webb's book to be two "mother of all watercolor" volumes. Everything a budding watercolorist could want is provided here: laying washes, painting middle values, planning, spacial concepts, calligraphy, etc. If you go through this book and follow the step-by-step lessons Bob Wood produces, you will be well on your way to understanding the art of a great watercolor painting. This one is highly recommended and another must have for your art library!

You seem to be doing a few more watercolors lately. I'm obviously supportive of that direction. (grin) Your steady progress is apparent. Good for you!
I also notice you seem to be experimenting somewhat with papers. I wonder, have you tried Winsor & Newton's 140 pound, cold press yet?

Thanks for your comments. Yes, it seems I'm always experimenting around with something. Keeps the mind young!
I'm really concentrating on the watercolors right now. As the great Frank Webb says: "It takes 'acres' of paper" to get good at it!!
